This free printable chore chart for kids turns daily jobs into a simple weekly game. Children color a star each day they finish a chore, then count their stars at the end of the week to earn a reward you choose together.

Two Chore Charts in One PDF
- Page 1: a filled chore chart with 9 everyday chores and a star for each day from Monday to Sunday.
- Page 2: a blank chore chart, so you can write in chores that fit your family.
Both pages are landscape and have spaces for the child’s name, the week, the reward and the number of stars earned.
Chores Included on the Chart
| Morning | Around the house | Evening |
|---|---|---|
| Make my bed | Feed the pet | Set the table |
| Brush my teeth | Pick up my toys | Clear my plate |
| Get dressed | Put clothes in the hamper | Read for 20 minutes |
Age-Appropriate Chore Ideas
- Ages 3 to 5: put toys away, put dirty clothes in the hamper, help feed a pet, wipe up small spills.
- Ages 6 to 8: make the bed, set and clear the table, water plants, sort laundry.
- Ages 9 to 12: load the dishwasher, fold laundry, take out the trash, help cook simple meals.
Tips for Making a Chore Chart Work
- Keep it short. Four to six chores a day is plenty for young children.
- Put the chart at the child’s eye level, on the fridge or a bedroom door.
- Agree on the reward before the week starts, such as choosing a family movie or an extra bedtime story.
- Praise the effort, not just the finished job.
Print at 100% on US Letter paper in landscape. Slip it into a sheet protector and use a dry-erase marker to reuse it every week. Free for home and classroom use.
